Basement Flood

Description

Quinntin completed the on-site inspection for reported sewage backup and standing water in the basement at 5514 N Kimball Ave. The situation was explained to the property owner, including the Category 3 contamination risks and recommended mitigation process in accordance with IICRC S500 standards (extraction, sanitation, and structural drying). The property owner stated they preferred to have the plumbing drained and address the issue themselves, and declined professional mitigation services at this time. The scope of work and potential risks of leaving contaminated water and moisture untreated were explained. Owner confirmed they do not wish to proceed with restoration services, and the project has been closed as a lost opportunity / declined services. Customer advised they may contact us if conditions change or if professional mitigation is needed in the future.
